“Starting my business at a young age with not much of a budget to spend on marketing allowed me to utilize what I had in front of me. I dove into building my social media platform, focusing on building as local of a following as I could with of course National reach as well. I’m now a social media strategist offering social media consultations for small business, cross promotion events, promotional giveaways to help grow your business and more.” – Brittany Hall

I am having a fan girl moment. No really! I have followed Brittany for years. She had a signature look or style with her makeup that I really loved. And if I’m honest I shared her images with my hair stylist for inspiration. I adored her lob (long bob)! I follow Brittany because she inspires. She is a professional makeup artist making women feel beautiful for their wedding day, events, or everyday glam. She shares body positive images that are so encouraging and reminders that we are all beautiful in our way. I loved her then but she sure has blossomed. She is a beautiful mother of two and a successful businesswoman. She expanded her one woman show to a beauty team. They call themselves Esteem. Which is perfect and oh so appropriate. Following Brittany and her journey I have gained so much respect and admiration for her and all she does. She truly inspires me as a woman and a creative. And now in a new light, social media.
This is the wow part. I GOT TO INTERVIEW HER! And communicate back and forth via email about how she utilizes social media. You can say i was excited. I asked her five questions and here are her answers:
Q: What Social Media channels do you use related to your interest?
BH: “Instagram and Pinterest for personal and Instagram and Facebook for business.“
Q: How much time do you spend each week on Social Media Marketing?
BH: “3-5 hours for my personal account and 1-3 hours for my business account as my business account has 5 other contributors.“
Q: How do you engage visitors to participate and share your content?
BH: “Sharing personal tidbits, engaging by asking questions, replying to messages and questions, tracking photos that people tend to enjoy looking at more.“
Q: How does social media engagement benefit you?
BH: “This is my personal account but it in turn benefits my business account as they are linked, I also get opportunities to collaborate with many wonderful brands, products and services which is not only a great way to try to share things I like but also brings in financial income.“
Q: How does social media benefit your audience?
BH: “I think sharing relatable things with my audience that can help them out in their own lives really makes it all worth it in the end. Not only does my audience connect with me but they are able to connect with other like-minded people in my audience and build their own connections.“
I could not agree with her more. She sure has helped me out in my own life and I have found others to follow through engaging on her Instagram. Do you have a role model you follow on social media? Where do you find tips for your social media marketing game?Comment below and share!
